We're Working to Expand Your Business' Potential!

Xcel Energy has been mandated by the State Legislature to spend $700 million dollars over the next 12 years to increase energy efficiency in Colorado. These expenditures will easily trigger a total of $1.2 billion spending on products like insulation, windows, furnaces and air conditioners.

You can have a voice in how and where that money is spent!

A battle is currently being carried out in front of the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) in Docket 420E. It pits Xcel Energy against many groups supporting energy efficiency. The EEBC represents businesses that provide energy efficient products and services. The EEBC is challenging Xcel to increase the energy savings goals it proposed by 75%. These goals would push Xcel to implement comprehensive programs that involve the whole house.

Another critical Docket concerning design of the specific Energy Efficiency program will be argued later this summer. The outcome of this docket will shape the programs Xcel will implement for years into the future. This program will specify the marketing, rebates and other incentives driving customers to invest in energy efficiency. These programs have the potential to impact your bottom line.

In order for the EEBC to maximize our influence, we need involvement of your energy efficiency company now. The EEBC has the knowledge, experience and credibility to represent you. The PUC has acknowledged using EEBC testimony to shape the Gas DSM program and will use EEBC’s input on existing and future dockets.
